![beat the heat with sorbet
It has been so hot these days. The electric fan has been working its butt off for me and the air conditioner has been waking an hour early just to please me [darn, that ain’t good for the planet]. Yet with all these at my side, heat still penetrates. I was determined to beat it. I dug deep in our store room to unearth the magic blender from the pile of junk. It was what I needed for this sudden impulse to make sorbets. My hunt was a success when I saw a familiar white hat. The blender has lost its gleam but it will be ready after it is cleaned.
While the blender was air-drying, I prepared the necessary ingredients for this ultimate fight. I made the syrup, sliced the bananas, cut the mangoes and gathered lots of ice. I was able to whip up three flavours: mango banana, pineapple and chocolate banana. It was an easy feat. No sweat, no worries and no more heat, well, for the couple of minutes I have of devouring this frozen treat.
