I’m not happy with the result of this cake. Its components tasted fine separately. However, as a whole, the end taste was forgettable and the texture was wrong. The cake dried out from its four hours of being naked(dude, no frosting) and its overnight stay in the refrigerator. I also had taken the cake’s moistness for granted. I didn’t brush it with any coffee syrup for that added moisture and flavour. Lastly, the chocolate custard filling was overwhelming with its nuts and coconut flakes.
Anyway, I’ll make use of the components in future products.
